Providing incentives for the control of pest plants on properties is a long-standing role provided by the UGLN. The incentive is a 50% contribution to the cost of herbicide (for listed weeds).
The UGLN Weed Advisor is now conducting free assessments for landcare members to identify and assess the threat of priority weeds on their property, including but not restricted to broom, gorse, blackberry, holly and Chilean Needle Grass.
With the assistance of our Weed Advisor we will help them to plan the control and management of weeds on their property.
Our Weed Advisor can also provide technical advice and information on the control of weeds and other assistance such as equipment hire, chemical rebates, training courses & field days and other Landcare incentives.
