The chance of meeting a wild Sambar, Fallow or Red deer on the roads at night, has increased over recent years. The chance that deer are entering private property is also very high. The chance that deer hunters are not too far away, is also high.
Love the deer or loath the deer, they are a part of our environment now.

On the 22nd of May 2018, Government, industry and members of the local community will come together to talk about the range of issues that the wild deer present in the Omeo Region. We will talk about management, rules, ecology, tourism, opportunities and working with deer.
