Farm dam, wetland, wildlife, habitat, Meadow Creek, King River
Come along to our practical workshop at Meadow Creek showing you how to enhance your farm dam for wildlife. We have the fantastic opportunity to learn from local ecologist Bertram Lobert about a large project recently run in Strathbogie Ranges involving the enhancement of 20 farm dams on private properties. Bertram will use two local wetland sites (one completed site, one site under construction) to facilitate discussion on the methods that can be used to create habitat, refuge and food sources for local wildlife in your farm dam. This is a great chance to draw upon the experiences gained by another conservation group for some practical advice and guidance.
