Guest Speakers & Program:
Dr Meredith Mitchell - Native Grasses Expert
- Meredith will provide tips on Native Grass Identification & Grazing Management
Paul Foreman - Fire Trials Project Ecologist
- Paul will present the results of our fire trial results. The trials have investigated the use of fire and Traditional Ecological Knowledge as a tool to manage native grasses
Bruce Pascoe - Author of "Dark Emu - Black Seeds: Aboriginal Agriculture or Accident?"
- Bruce will present his research which demonstrates that aboriginal people actively managed the land prior to white settlement.
We will also premier our project film documenting the benefits of native pastures and the fire trials research
There will also be a range of resources on native grass identification and grazing management.

Coming from Bethanga the property is1.5 km from Talgarno Hall on the left hand side. Look out for Landcare signs.
We will have lunch at the Talgarno Hall.
