Earthworms and dung beetles transform our soil for the better. Join earthworm and dung beetle specialist Dr Graeme Stevenson on a Farm Walk and learn how you can make the most of these willing workers.
At the Field Day you will have the opportunity to learn:
*Basic earthworm and dung beetle identification techniques
*How earthworms and dung beetles benefit the soil
*What management practices you can put in place to maximise their potential
All participants will receive a dung beetle and earthworm identification guide and tip sheets on how to harness their benefits.
There will also be an update on the Lucyvale dung beetle trials and the deep-burrowing Long worm chook-yard trials.
