Work has commenced on three trial sites at Upper Gundowring. The aim is to trial best practice techniques in three traditionally "difficult areas".
1. Areas prone to flooding
2. Under established trees
3. Steep dry banks
This project is been supervised by ecologist, JIll Dawson and has received funding through the 2012-13 Victorian Landcare Grants.
The project is also trialling various revegetation products, such as Sen-Tree (a product that is sprayed on plants to deter grazing), heavy duty guards for areas with problems with wombats, and water crystals.
