Dung Beetles:

Imagine a farm machine that…

* Aerates the soil

* Breaks up dung pads

* Buries manure in the plant root zone

* Deepens topsoil

* Reduces bush fly and parasite breeding

* Works all year round

* Doesn’t use fossil fuels

Who needs them?

* Compacted Soil?

* Fouled Pastures?

* Algal Blooms?

* Plagues of Bushflies?

* Chronic Parasite Problems?

* Low Soil Organic Matter?

 

The Bubas Bison is a Winter / Spring active species and fills a gap to achieve year round coverage.

The Bison Dung Beetles will be supplied to those interested on a subsidized basis within the Leneva Castle Creek Landcare Area. Release sites valued at $660 but $100 contribution required by the landowners. Numbers are limited to six sites, so first in, best dressed.
