Come on a bus and look at crop establishment under
different stubble management strategies.
See triticale and lupin crops sown into mulched,
standing, incorporated and burnt stubble as well
as dual purpose Cracker Jack triticale sown
into a five year old lucerne stand.

talking about whether trace element deficiencies
exist in the local area, and preliminary results
from trace element fertiliser trial at
Boomahnoomoonah East.
• Yield Prophet (computer crop model) simulations
predicting grain yields in the coming season based
on crop emergence density and soil nitrogen levels.
• Phil Newton (DPI Rutherglen) talking about
Electro Magnetic 38 soil survey data collected
from five stubble management sites.
• 10.00 am Paddock walk at Damien O’Keefe’s stubble demonstration site
• 10.40 am Paddock walk at Tom Goldsmith’s stubble demonstration site
• 11.20 am Paddock walk at Neville Tweddle’s stubble demonstration site
and lucerne inter-cropping paddock.
