We will be planting more shrubs on the Husseys Lane Reserve. This is a followup on plantings done in this reserve in the last two years. The shrubs that we planted two years ago are looking quite impressive. The black wallabies are enjoying their new tucker.
This reserve is very special to us because it has some wonderful indigenous flora. The wildflowers in spring are a sight to behold.
The grasses that were planted last year are struggling with overgrazing from rabbits. Manningham Council are doing a great job with rabbit control on the block but unfortunately we are being let down by a couple of neighbours who refuse to undertake rabbit control.
Because of this shrubs are a better option for planting on this site.
There is parking available at number 44 opposite the reserve.
