Friends of Wilson Reserve Inc. meet on the third Sunday of each month (except for December - possibly 2nd Sunday) to undertake planned vegetation restoration activities in an area in East Ivanhoe, close to the Yarra River, within the City of Banyule. Each year's month-by-month activities are planned out at the beginning of the year. Planting of indigenous vegetation usually takes place in the wetter months; the other months being dedicated to weeding and maintenance of the restored areas.

Hi all, We’re back at Horseshoe Bend again this month, to do more weeding. Some parts of the Bend area are in very good condition, largely weed-free, others are very weedy and need a morning’s work to clean them up. Looking forward to seeing you there at 10 - please bring a trowel or other digging tool, as most of the weeds need to be dug out, not just pulled up.
At mid-day we’ll stop for the usual cuppa and have the group’s AGM on the spot - it will be fairly brief - just a couple of reports and the appointment of office-bearers for the coming year and any general business.
See you there - sites 24, 25, 26, 27 on the map to be found at FOWR Activity Sites 2018
