CMA Changes & Community Engagement – Janine Haddow (DSE)

The recent White Paper on Land and Biodiversity in a time of Climate Change, Securing Our Natural Future, proposes that the ten Catchment Management Authorities (CMAs) and the three Coastal Boards will be amalgamated into five Natural Resource & Catchment Authorities (NRCAs).  Connection to the community is emphasised as a key role of the new Natural Resource & Catchment Authorities but the details are currently being developed.

Landcare Talkback

Moderated by Mick Murphy, this session gives FTLA members and friends the opportunity to discuss the direction that we would like the FTLA to go, and Landcare more generally in a positive and friendly atmosphere.

Pest Plant & Weeds – John Burley, Michael Reid, & Carolyn Ferguson

With presentations on the new pest, plants and animals framework by John Burley, the community weeds model by Michael Reid and the on-the-ground experience by Carolyn Ferguson, this forum is an opportunity for landcarers to discuss the substantial involvement Landcare has in

weed & pest control is.

Engaging Alternative Funders - VRI Facilitator Karen Brisbane

Funding for Landcare is usually connected to the Federal or State funding, with the new changes with Landcare funding have you thought of approaching a corporate or philanthropic trust for support for new volunteers, in-kind support or project support? Come and learn about how to go about doing this for your group or network.
