All members and stakeholders are invited to the 2019 LVI AGM, with Lucinda Corrigan, Chair of Farmers for Climate Action as our keynote speaker, followed after lunch by the "Living up to our Name: Landcare Partnership and Collaboration Workshop".
Guest Speaker Lucinda will be speaking about the strategic work of Farmers for Climate Action, particularly Climate Smart Agriculture and influencing the policy agenda. Lucinda runs a large, multi-property cattle genetics enterprise with her husband in the Murray Valley and has a long involvement in local Landcare. Lucinda’s leadership on has been recognised by the National Climate Change and Research facility as the 2012 Climate Adaption Champion and is Commissioner of the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research.
We will also be joined by James Todd, Acting Executive Director, Biodiversity Environment and Climate Change to give an update from the Department of Environment, Land, Water & Planning.
Then, join us for the "Living up to our Name: Landcare Partnership & Collaboration Workshop". To be held following our LVI AGM, you are invited to attend the afternoon workshop or the full day. Please rsvp for catering purposes.
Landcare is a unique and powerful partnership between community, business and government. In this workshop we will solidly step into the practice of what Landcare has become famous for, collaboration! Together, we will share our knowledge, practice skills and learn how to both engage and build mutually beneficial and long lasting partnerships with our local decision-makers and various community stakeholders.
Workshop Leader: Kim Boswell, The Forever Agenda. Kim is a Facilitator, Trainer and Coach with more than 20 years’ experience in community engagement, fundraising and volunteer management in the not for profit sector, including 10 years involvement in Landcare. Kim has raised just under 1 million dollars for Landcare projects, recruited more than 400 volunteers, started numerous groups and launched a new Landcare Network.
