The Victorian government has promised to reserve critically endangered grasslands on Melbourne's urban fringe, and manage them for conservation using an adaptive management approach (under the Melbourne Strategic Assessment program).

What does this mean in practice?

Federation University's Impact Ecology Group invite those interested to their 2018 Research Seminar Series with Guest Speaker, Dr Steve Sinclair from Arthur Rylah Institute.

This talk will look at some of the issues for grassland  management, how quantitative goals have been set, how management regimes have been applied, what monitoring takes place, and how the monitoring is fed back to update our understanding of the grassland ecosystem.
