The Murroon Landcare group has a membership from the Murroon, Pennyroyal and Barwon Downs areas. The group has both an environmental and agricultural focus. Sites managed by the group include the Deepdene Wetland which attracts migratory birds, and a Demonstration site at the old Murroon tennis courts, which has examples of locally indigenous trees and shrubs growing.
