Indigenous Species Selection Guide

This species selection guide has been developed in response
to demand by landholders in the East Gippsland Landcare Network for information
about choosing the right species mix for revegetation projects.  It provides valuable information to assist
landholders re-establish the vegetation communities that have been extensively
cleared in the region.
The guide was compiled by Greening Australia
Project Officers Stephen Bruce and Clare McInnes. Sponsorship was from East Gippsland Landcare Network
(printing cost), Norman Wettenhall Foundation (artist and editing costs) and
the Department of Sustainability Bairnsdale (Map creation). Plant species lists
are based on the Department of Sustainability and Environment ‘EVC Benchmarks’
available at www.dse.vic.gov.au.
