The Nungurner Landcare Group formed in 2009 and covers an area of approximately 3,500 hectares.  This area is bordered by the Princes Highway, Kalimna West and the Gippsland Lakes.  The Group is situated 25km east of the City of Bairnsdale.
Nungurner Landcare is local people coming together to address environmental and land management issues in our area through practical action. Our priority activities focus on protecting and enhancing native vegetation and wildlife, and community awareness of our environment. We are an active group holding monthly working bees at the Nungurner Jetty Rd roadside reserve and other areas of public land. We also support re-vegetation activities on private land, and hold educational and social events for members and the general public.
