The Berriwillock Landcare group formed in 1995 to raise awareness of conservation issues within the community as well as addressing pest plant and animal management with the group undertaking works to revegetate and protect remnant areas of the Tyrell Creek vegetation community for the benefit of the Murray Darling Carpet Python. The Berriwillock group has also been involved in extensive rabbit control activities with both warren ripping and the regular use of baiting to reduce rabbit numbers. This also included fox off baiting in the Tyrell creek area and on landholder properties.
