This project has finished

This project finished 20 Jan 2014

Previously known as the Slippery Pinch / Dinner Plain Loop Trail, this project is nearing completion. Originally, DpL and the DSE looked into the prospect of opening and signing existing cattle tracks for the summer of 2007/2008.

Broken down into stages 1, 2 and 3, subsequent summers have seen more of the stages completed.

Two grants were obtained for the development of the Slippery Pinch loop, a 12km loop through the State Forest. This section features Basalt formations, an untouched stand of snowgums, and offers a lovely walk.
The current focus for this project is trail marking, interpretive signage, and an all access short loop that connects DP to the trail heads, and ties the walking trails together.
