The Shire has an ongoing program for the treatment of blackberries along local roads. The spraying program for 2013 is now complete and in the next few weeks teams will be remapping blackberry infestations on all local roads within the Shire. We appear to have good blackberry control but as you know it does not take much inactivity for the situation to rapidly reverse.
In addition to blackberry and plum trees, the Shire is prepared to cooperate in joint action with landowners in the treatment of selected weeds pests that spread out onto the local road frontages.
