Warby Range Landcare Group (WRLG) is an incorporated, not-for-profit, community group working to improve the health of their land and the community. WRLG covers the farming country to the west, north and south of Wangaratta with the Ovens River being the east border north of Wangaratta, the Fifteen Mile Creek the eastern border to the south and the Hume Freeway generally considered the southern border. The defined area includes Winton Wetlands and the west side of the Warby-Ovens National Park, including the total Warby Range and Chesney Hills.

The group’s focus is on sustainable agriculture, increasing local knowledge of our native ecosystems and indigenous culture.

WRLG welcomes new members, irrespective of whether they have a residential block, a lifestyle property or a farm, and offers the opportunity to learn more about caring for their land and assistance to actually do it. They are an inclusive and enthusiastic group, keen to make a positive difference to our environment and farm productivity in their catchment. The group is always seeking new ideas for local projects.

The committee meets at 7.30pm on the last Monday of the month excluding December, with intermittent General Meetings featuring speakers of interest during the year. Please contact the Secretary for the meeting location. All WRLG members are welcome to attend committee meetings as an observer.
