Black Hill Reserve Kyneton is a wonderful 260 acres of bush space, only an hours drive from the Melbourne CBD.

There are, signed walking tracks - views - unbelievable rock formations - birds and animals to seek - wild flowers and glorious bush - lots of fresh air.

You do not have to walk at all, the bush is around you at the entry gate. So off the couch and come for some regeneration. Some of the activities of this small group include:

Improvements such as picnic tables
Maintenance of walking tracks and clearing fallen timber
Erosion control
Weed control
Tree planting
Negotiating grants and funding

Meetings and working bees are held throughout the year, usually involving much socialising and a bbq lunch.

The Reserve is always open and there is no charge.

Inside the entry gate there is a plaque recognising the efforts and direction of founding member, Carl Nielson. He has laboured most strenuously, for many years, developing the Reserve and particularly in controlling erosion with only a shovel and his helpers!
