Eddington Landcare Group was officially launched as part of the Australia Day celebrations 2010. We draw our members from both the township and local farmers.

Eddington Landcare Group
We are currently working on rabbit control in the Red Gum forest located opposite the township and over the Loddon River. Weed erradication is also on the agenda. The Red Gum forest contains a very diverse bird population - with a large population of chuffs being some of the most vocal birds in residence.
We are also working towards making the Red Gum forest available for the general public to view & enjoy. At present it is partially flooded which is helping enormously with the rabbit problem!
The landcare group also organized the the locals as part of "cleanup Australia day" - 10 people turned out to help which is staggering seeing as the population of the town is 20 - so 50% of Eddington was there.
We've also just received 320 seedlings from the Neangar Nursery for planting out. This was organized by Glenn Merrick
