The Longlea and District Landcare Group was formed in 1997 to assist in the improvement and preservation of the local environment.

The group undertakes projects on public and private land in weed and animal pest managment, environmental enhancement and community education.
Longlea Landcare works closely with other community groups, local and state government and the local catchment management authority.
Longlea & District Landcare Group offers any new or existing members a free property visit to listen, discuss and offer recommendations with any environmental enquiries you may have. Our group consists of expertise in a range of fields and can offer advice on gardening, dangerous trees, pest plant and animal identification, control and eradication, fencing off waterways or areas of significance, native animal identification and revegetating with local native species.
Meetings held bi-monthly from February to December on the first Monday of the month at 7.30pm at the Longlea Recreation Reserve, corner Longlea Lane and McIvor Highway.
