The Weed Management Strategy for the Loddon Shire was developed with an Integrated and a Coordinated approach to weed control. In addition to the strategy an Action Plan was developed. This plan highlighted the need for weed control to be effective a whole community approach was needed. Therefore partnerships were needed.

The Weed Strategy and the action plan together have been the emphasis used for the control of Wheel Cactus
