Best Management Practices Project Will be going on a Field Trip to the Strong’s property ‘Arcadia’ near Boree Creek.

‘Arcadia’ is a mixed sheep and dryland cropping property run by Garth and Jan Strong and their son Graham. Over the last ten years the Strongs have maintained profitability and begun new enterprises, whilst planting 250000 native trees and over 300 acres of Old Man Salt bush.

In 2006 the Strongs won a Regional Primary Producer Landcare Award.

They also run a successful Salt bush Lamb enterprise, are currently experimenting with Pasture Cropping and have signed up to the Landcare Carbon Smart scheme.
