This group has performed extensive works along the town's greatest natural asset, Jacksons Creek, linking public open space with recreational and sporting precincts located along the creek and through the centre of Gisborne. Newly installed bridge crossings and extensive walking trails have brought "the people to the creek" creating a valuable natural backdrop for the community. With the help of commercial partners and grants, the group has cleared large sections of willow and other weeds, replacing them with thousands of indigenous plants, enhancing the opportunities for installing picnic tables, barbeques and a new playground. The group meets every third Sunday of the month and welcomes community involvement.
