We are lucky enough to have the Warby Rail Trail running through our Network area. We thought we would play around with the Landcare for Singles model and put on a day alongside the Warby Rail Trail - attracting cyclists!
One of our member groups - Upper Yarra LG put their hands up to host a planting day, Yarra Ranges Council partnered with us and the PPWCMA supported the day through a Community Grant.
We held the day on World Environment Day and achieved great things - planting over 1000 plants, attracting a quality 25 individuals and fielding 3 requests for new membership.
