Every year in July as part of National Tree Day celebrations the Maffra & Districts Landcare Network either supports, partners with or directly organises a range of tree planting events between local schools, Landcare Groups, businesses and other local community service clubs and the wider community. School planting days are usually held on the Friday of National tree day celebrations with public planting days generally held on a Saturday or Sunday to provide opportunities for wider community participation.
