The Stratford and District Farm Cheque Group formed some 25 years ago with the founding members predominantly being beef farmers from the Stratford, Llowalong, Munro and Bengworden areas.

The intention of the Group was to create a forum for learning, sharing ideas and discussing issues and problems. As farming is often a solitary occupation, the group, for many, provided a forum of peer support. Over its 25 year timespan, the group has “nurtured” a number of focus farms. The purpose of each focus farm differed according to the specific needs of the farm or particular learning objectives of group members at that time.
