Microbats are fascinating. We've brought back the successful program we ran last year so that more people can find out about them.

Bats play an essential role in ecosystem health. They are a diverse group of mammals that have fascinating adaptations and behaviours.

Join us for our talk where you will learn about your local bat species that often go unseen and unheard in the environment.

This session will cover where bats like to live, what they like to eat, adaptations to flight and how they navigate and communicate.

We will also talk about current threats to bat species and how you can help.

If you are one of the first seventeen people to register for the workshop, we’ll send you an e-mail telling you how you can also book for the twilight walk where we’ll will be able to show you how we detect bats that have ultrasonic calls (above our hearing range), look out for suitable bat habitat and hopefully see some bats in action.

Booking is essential using the RSVP link above.

We have limited places on the walk, but can accommodate more in the workshop. Our group is learning to use our own monitors, and will schedule more twilight walks during the autumn.
