The Victorian Landcare Grants support Landcare and other environmental volunteer groups to protect and restore the Victorian landscape. The grants are delivered through the State's ten Catchment Management Authorities. An additional $1 million in grants was added to the original funding commitment due to the exceptionally high number of quality applications.
The 2019-20 Victorian Landcare Grants were announced on Thursday 12 September 2019 and will fund 521 applications, including 208 project grants and 313 support grants.
Funding is provided for projects that address local, regional and state land and environment priorities through delivery of:
• On-ground works
• Capacity building activities
• Community education and engagement
Support grants of $500 each are provided to help sustain and ensure strong Landcare and other environmental volunteer groups and networks.
