Report by Jim Seager

Barwon Water Nursery on Tuesday evening 21st January 2014.

We had 11 people attend including one person from England.
It was a great opportunity for members to catch up after the Christmas/New Year break and help to propagate indigenous native plants for planting onto farms during winter and spring 2014.
In total we sowed 20 trays of wattle, eucalypt and sheoak seed, 6 trays of native hemp bush cuttings and prick out 1000 tree violet seedlings.
We are planning a few more evening sessions from late March into April to prick out more seedlings for this years plantings. I will be letting members know when the dates have been arranged. It is hoped that we will have about 4000 seedlings available free to members for 2014.
Note; First priority will be given to those who have helped out when allocating trees to members.

Anyone wishing to help with propagation please contact Jim on 0409935700.
