Simple ways to tell whether the bugs in your soil are working for you

Dr. Helen Hayden (Research Scientist, Agriculture Victoria).  Helen specialises in soil microbial ecology and  has recently co-authored a book titled-Soil Health, Soil Biology, Soilborne Diseases and Sustainable Agriculture- a guide,published by CSIRO.

Peter Stray (Wool & beef producer, She Oaks)  

The role of soil biology in soil health, how to monitor soil health,compost use and how to the monitor results over time, links between soil acidityand soil biology, results from current trials using lime and biological products. 

Starting at the Maude Tennis Pavillion (opp. Maude CFA),  moving on to Peter Stray’s property (79 Strong Rd, She Oaks).

Thursday 6th October 10.00 am- 1.00pm (including lunch)
