The Lismore Land Protection Group and Corangamite Shire support local schools to undertake environmental education activities.

Lismore Primary School students and Derrinallum College Prep to grade 6 students visited the Water Discovery Centre at Werribee on Wednesday 30th March. The day was organised by the Lismore Land Protection Group and funded by a Landcare grant from the Corangamite Shire's Environment Support Fund program.

Students toured the Water Discovery Centre, the Western Treatment Plant and participated in educational activities including ‘stormwater story’ and a ‘wetland food chain game’.

Lismore Landcare Coordinator Karen O'Keefe said it was fantastic to receive a grant from the Corangamite Shire to undertake an environmental education bus trip with two local schools.
