LIVING LANDSCAPES: biodiversity around paddock trees
We have received this invitation - it reads: [Come along for a late afternoon / evening walk and talk tour around some amazing old red and yellow gums. The presentations and tour will look at what animals reside within these large old trees, focusing on birds and bats of the local area.
Presenters:
Guy Dutson is a local self-employed naturalist, previously working for 10 years with Birdlife Australia in Melbourne and Fiji. Guy now works with government and industry organisations. He is an expert birdwatcher and an enthusiastic general naturalist.
Matthew Gibson is a Senior Consultant Ecologist with Biosis, based in Ballarat. He has been conducting bat surveys extensively throughout western Victoria and South-western New South Wales.
Matt also has a special interest in analysing bat calls, and has developed software tools for species identification from ultrasonic recordings from bat detectors.

Time: 5:45pm arrival for a 6pm start, concluding at 9pm
