Sustaining soil, while building a basis of carbon in the soil is a high priority in a period of climate change.

Come to the Torquay Landcare Group's Community Forum to hear Russell Burnett, from Bendigo, speak about biochar and how it is a significant answer for farmers who are provoked by climate change. Both fertility and moisture holding capacities of soil are improved, whilst building up reserves of carbon.  Our speaker is involved in both the theory and practice.

Questions and answers will be followed by a brief general meeting where members may raise any landcare issue of interest or concern in the wider community.
All welcome!

This talk is run in conjunction with Surf Coast Energy Group (SCEG)

Supper is served so please be sure to RSVP Andy Smith 0429199159.
