Smart Farms Small Grants Round 3 ;

Minister McKenzie has announced the opening of Smart Farms Small Grants Round 3! The media release can be found at: https://minister.agriculture.gov.au/McKenzie/media-releases. Round 3 opens today until 11 pm AEDT, Thursday 19 December 2019. There is up to $5 million available for grants valued between $5,000 and $50,000 are offered to organisations and individuals to develop and extend new tools and technologies that help farmers, fishers, foresters and regional communities adopt best practice land management.

The Grant opportunity Guidelines and application form can be found at: https://www.communitygrants.gov.au/grants/national-landcare-program-smart-farms-small-grants-round-3 As with previous rounds, the Community Grants Hub will be administering the delivery of the grant round and applicants should contact them if they have any questions or issues with the application form (phone 1800 020 283, support@communitygrants.gov.au).

We expect to have a digital information kit available tomorrow afternoon. This kit will include approved wording, tiles and tweets etc. Once it is ready we will forward this on to you all. Attached is the already cleared tile the department will use for Facebook advertising, feel free to use it on your social media platforms.

Smart Farming Partnerships Round 2 – Announcement of successful projects ;

The minister has also announced the selection outcomes for Smart Farming Partnerships Round 2, the media release can be found at: https://www.communitygrants.gov.au/grants/national-landcare-program-smart-farms-small-grants-round-3. This round has funded 11 projects valued at $30.183 million, a list of the successful projects is now available on the department’s at: http://www.agriculture.gov.au/ag-farm-food/natural-resources/landcare/national-landcare-program/australian-government-investment-in-landcare.
