Ararat Landcare Group members are looking forward to an interesting presentation about a major wetland restoration project.
The project will be one the largest restoration projects completed in western Victoria and will benefit a wide range of threatened species. Mark Bachmann, manager of NGT will talk about this new project in Southern Grampians area and will also introduce Greg Kerr, NGT’s new Senior Ecologist based in Dunkeld.
NGT is a not-for-profit organisation that has been working with farmers across western Victoria for the past 6 years. Among a range of things the organisation has achieved, is the restoration of over 35 previously drained wetlands on both public & private land.
