Wendy joined Rabobank Food & Agribusiness and Advisory in late 2006, as senior analyst responsible for animal proteins, including beef, lamb, pork, chicken and seafood. Wendy will be discussing projected market threats and opportunities and how to manage for them.
David Marsh, Landholder Booroowa NSW
David is a holistic grazier in Boorowa NSW. David graduated with a Master of Sustainable Agriculture from the University of Sydney in 2001 and has been practising sustainable farming since.
Traci Griffin DPI
Traci has been the Project Leader for the Greenhouse in Agriculture Project. She will be addressing the project outcomes and the direction of governmental programs addressing carbon emissions.
Dr Scott Power Bureau of Meteorology
Dr Power is Principal Research Scientist with the Bureau of Meteorology Research Centre in Melbourne. He will be discussing local climatic impacts and management tools.
Colin Seis, Pasture Cropper
Colin Seis runs 4000 head of sheep and crops cereals on ‘Winona’, an 840-hectare property in the central tablelands of NSW. He will be discussing the benefits of species diversity in the pasture cropping model as a risk management tool in dry times.
Tom Lawson and Dick Sinclair, local landholders
Tom and Dick are local long-term landholders with keen observations of the current farming climate. They will be discussing their views and adaptations to farming systems in dry times.
Jennie O’Sullivan, Enviromeat
Jenny has been actively involved in establishing two beef brands, “Gippsland Natural” and “Enviromeat”, both underpinned by Meat Standards Australia. She will be discussing marketing options for farmer groups to improve capacity.
