Report on the spotlighting evening held on Oct 31 on the Baranduda Range

A group of BLC spotlighters met at the top of Ewarts Rd on the plateau in the tall dry grassy forest of brittle gum, narrow leaf peppermint and red anther wallaby grass last night. Glen Johnson showed maps and photos of animals we hoped to see. We were not disappointed finding 3 greater gliders (the largest of the gliding possums) about half a dozen ringtail possums as well as a wombat and black wallabies. There are some more photos here and you can check out this delightful webpage on the greater glider created by students at the Andersons Creek Primary school.
