The first in a series of 3 workshop / field activities run by Jill Dawson of Our Native Garden to promote knowledge of and skills in identification and propagation of the local flora of Baranduda

Commences:  Saturday 6th November - 2pm - 5-30pm which will be a field based activity with 2 more half day sessions November 20th and a final session on Feb 26 2011

 

Location: Baranduda – meet at Jamison Drive Reserve and walk to the Yackandandah roadside cutting and drive up Ridge Lane Cost: Free for Baranduda/Kiewa Catchment Landcare members otherwise $15 (which entitles 1 year membership) Registration booking essential: by 22nd Oct (earlier appreciated) via Tony Marsh

The Flexible Delivery method that Jill proposes may include:

  • Presentation of theory and principles

  • Booklets on principles and practices

  • Field trips designed to see plants in their natural setting collect seed & cuttings

  • Usage of Wodonga TAFE propagation facilities

 

Practical demonstration and experience at

  • Our Native Garden nursery in Tawonga

  • Suitable locations in Baranduda

 

 

Participants will receive Certificates of Completion detailing the short course topics attended and may gain credits for units within Horticulture and Conservation and Land Management Training Packages
