A brief report of the workshop held on Sat Feb 26th at Baranduda

This workshop was also well attended and commenced at the reserve in Jamison Drive. The lush growth of weeping grassĀ  (Microlaena stipoides) due to the warm moist summer was delightful to relax in and listen to Jill's discussion on the theory, hints and tips for propagation of significant local plants from cuttings.

We then moved to Tony's place where Jill had arranged for a display of resources, tools and notes for cutting creation and management.

The third part of the afternoon was spent observing and collecting cuttings from suitable plants for cutting collection in the Yackandandah roadside cutting south of Jamison Drive. Jill emphasized the importance of quick application of the rooting hormone.

The workshop concluded with participants preparing the cuttings and planting them in punnets and taking them home.

The workshop was thoroughly enjoyed by all participants who gained valuable skills on the day.
