Setting up a bird monitoring program in the Greta Valley
The Swamps, Rivers and Ranges Project are funding the setup of long-term bird monitoring sites across the Greta Valley. The sites will be initially set up by Chris Tzaros, who is an accomplished wildlife ecologist and bird photographer. Ten sites between Moyhu and Greta South will be set up and monitored seasonally, 4 times a year for at least the next 4 years.
Are you interested in learning more and being a part of this simple but strategic environmental program? If so, you are welcome to attend this workshop.
We are looking for interested community members to help with the monitoring program. There will also be a short discussion about the impacts of Indian Myna birds and demonstration of new our Myna traps.
