Mitta Valley Landcare Group in conjunction with the North East Catchment Management Authority invite you to attend our Soils Field Day.
This field day is presented by Dr Cassandra Schefe who has worked extensively as a soil research sscientist and soils educator with farming communities.
Normally, when we are looking at soils and thining about their condition we focus on the top 10cm, after all that is the zone that we can most directly influence through our short term management. However the roots of the plant explore the soil profile to much greater depths and the health of the soil down the profile has a major impact on the productivity and long term survival of pastures.
