Soil Aeration equipment supplied by ‘FarmTech’ and local landholders. Aeration demonstrations with guest speaker Gwyn Jones, Agronomist of Integrated Agri-Culture.
The Three options to improve soil aeration are:
The Biology:
Grazing improves root penetration, they push > elongate > expansion > die > decay > cavity made, earthworm burrow. Soil biology ‘glue’ particles together.
The Chemistry:
Calcium opens up a soil, Magnesium tightens it.
The Physical:
There are Four types of mechanical aeration, which one is the best for me?
