Course objectives are:

Improving the profitability of a commercial cattle breeding

operation by developing an integrated approach to beef head

health.

 

This will be achieved through

  • Improving producer understanding of the factors that

influence the profitability of a commercial cattle breeding

operation

  • Providing producers with management strategies that

ensure optimal and profitable production targets are

 achieved in their beef operation.

  • Increasing producer understanding of the biology,

nutritional and health needs of their beef herd.

  • Developing production and animal health programs to

meet the requirements of their operations through the

construction of a management calendar aimed at improving

the health, production and profitability of the beef herd.
