This event is part of the Across The Arts Forum and is being organised by the Goulburn And North East Arts Alliance.
It will be held on Sunday May 5 10.00am-3.30pm and will begin with an identification of grasses by The Wangaratta Urban Landcare Group and their uses from an indigenous perspective.
Basket maker/weaver, Karen Pirie will show examples of her work and contemporary twining techniques for weaving reeds and grasses.
The sculpture will begin with a 20cm rock and a wire frame. The grasses will then be woven into the piece,creating an installation at the Ovens River.
