This event is part of
Scoping and directional planning for the new Wodonga Urban Landcare Network
Invitation
Þ Are you interested in preserving, improving or creating habitat for native birds and animals in Wodonga?
Þ Do you or your Group look after your local park, bushland, creek, or recreation reserve in the municipality of Wodonga?
You are invited to come and hear about and contribute to how an Urban Landcare Network could support the actions of your group and make supporting each other more attractive than working alone.
Please come to a dinner and discussion about the new Wodonga Urban Landcare Network that is being created to support the actions of volunteers who work to improve our urban ecosystems.
Wednesday May 23rd, 2012
5.15 – 9 pm at the Frayne College Hall
Baranduda Blvd, Baranduda
Our evening will begin at 5.15 with a brief ‘cooks tour’ of the revegetation works that Frayne College in conjunction with Baranduda Landcare have carried out over the last 10 years - it is very impressive and well worth a look.
The main event will start with an informal dinner at 6pm. While we share dinner, we will get to know each other a little and find out who else is out there caring for the green spaces around Wodonga – what place do you care about and why?
After dinner we will hear from the people who have initiated the Wodonga Urban Landcare Network to understand what motivated them to form a Network and what they think is possible.
We will then explore more ideas from you and others attending about what you believe is possible, important and achievable through the formation of a representative Network.
The night will finish up around 9 pm with a deeper understanding of the kind of support and the things a Network can provide for you or your group and how you can be involved in the Network.
# A casual dinner will be supplied by members of the WULN Steering Committee - please let Anne know if you can bring a plate to share.
