This event is part of
Weeding and maintenance in Happy Valley
We will be working on the flat area near the top of the Happy Valley track where we have done indigenous planting in teh past. Enter by walking down the track from Happy Valley Road, turn right at the bottom of the hill and cross the creekbed. This is Keepers of the Creek Area 7, which stretches to Duke St so it has all those poplars on it, plus periwinkle, a large number of grazing kangaroos and many other weeds. However, we won't get far from the creek on Sunday, as there are a HEAP of weeds we have to tackle first.
Over morning tea, we will also talk about a longer term plan for that area - something that Keepers for that area will also be involved in designing. It is an area that continues to give us challenges, but you will hear more of that as we go.
