Meet at 36 Main Rd Campbells Creek (opposite Book Heaven). Visitors are welcome. Morning tea provided.

What should you do with seed that you collect?  It's usually important to extract and clean seed from the 'fruits' (pods, gumnuts, etc) that you collect as otherwise insects can damage the seed.

We'll be learning how to extract Wattle seeds from pods using a threshing machine and then how to obtain clean seeds by sieving and winnowing.   Once clean, seeds need to be stored properly to keep for as long as possible.

Afterwards, we'll be sowing native grass, sedge and rush seeds direct into growing containers.
